Juli M. Jordan has garnered over a decade of experience and knowledge in the sports and entertainment industry. Jordan is the Executive Producer of Gridiron Celebrity Hoops and the President and CEO of Jam Sports Productions, LLC, a Maryland-based full service sports marketing and entertainment event production company.  As steward of these organizations, Jordan is committed to providing a broad range of comprehensive marketing, event production and event management services. The firm’s landmark partnership with the National Football League, one of the first of its kind, and its long list of NFL clients makes it one of the premiere sports production agencies in the United States. 

Well respected in the industry as a visionary and revolutionary of sports and entertainment event production, Jordan has left an indelible imprint upon the industry as one of a small number of African-American women who have successfully ventured into the executive worlds of sports and entertainment production.  Jordan’s professional and philanthropic notable accomplishments over the years have been the drive behind the success of Jam Sports Productions.

Jordan's diverse professional experiences at the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Warner-Chappell Music Publishing, Twentieth Century Fox Films, The National Football League Players Association, the Los Angeles Lakers, House of Blues Entertainment and IMG, inspired Jordan to venture upward and create her own niche in the sports and entertainment industry.

Jordan received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, in Political Science with a double minor in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies. She later received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the District of Columbia School of Law, where she founded the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and was a member of the District of Columbia Law Review. Combining her passion for sports and law, Jordan's law review dissertation focused on Antitrust Laws as they pertained to the issue of whether college athletes should receive compensation for playing college sports.

While in law school, Jordan was introduced to the business world of sports by a college classmate turned professional football athlete. Jordan began to draft and negotiate personal appearance, commercial product endorsement and sponsorship contracts. Her passion and love of sports and negotiations led her to launch Jam Sports & Entertainment in 1993. The company became a limited liability corporation in February 1997.

Prior to Jam Sports Productions, Jordan sharpened her business skills at a number of prestigious corporations and large law firms. Jordan's diverse professional experiences at the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Warner-Chappell Music Publishing, Twentieth Century Fox Films, The National Football League Players Association, the Los Angeles Lakers, House of Blues Entertainment and IMG, inspired Jordan to venture upward and create her own niche in the sports and entertainment industry.

In 1998, just one year after incorporating, Jam Sports and Entertainment conceptualized and pitched to the National Football League, Gridiron Celebrity Hoops (formerly Game Day Gridiron Celebrity Hoops) - an annual official Super Bowl event where former and active NFL players, world-renowned streetballers and celebrities from music, television, and film for a competitive game of basketball to highlight the importance of fostering hope, and fostering care for abused, abandoned and neglected children. In 2003, on the event's fifth anniversary, Gridiron Celebrity Hoops elevated it’s event from being an official Super Bowl event to becoming an official event of the National Football League (NFL) for Super Bowl XXXVII, making the celebrity hoops event uniquely positioned as the first and only official NFL- sanctioned celebrity basketball game to be held annually at the Super Bowl (the largest annual sporting event in the United States).  This distinct ion has made Jam Sports & Entertainment one of the first minority-owned businesses to form a strategic alliance with the NFL.  Recently, the basketball game received national and international attention when it aired on the new reality taping of The Kendra Show on E! Television and was highlighted on ESPN.

Not only has Jordan been a prominent force in the NFL, but also in the National Basketball Association. Jordan has worked with such legends as Michael Jordan, James “Big Game James” Worthy, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber.  and Allan Houston, just to name a few. While working for the Los Angeles Lakers, Jerry West was a mentor to Jordan and they have stayed in contact over the years.

Jordan's accomplishments and company profile were highlighted and commended in the February 2003 issue of Black Enterprise Magazine.  She has also appeared on CBS News on Women in Sports, Black Enterprise Report, a syndicated cable television program revolving around minority business entrepreneurs. 

An incurable entrepreneur and philanthropist, Jordan is also the Founder and Chairwoman of the Board of an organization recently renamed Juli’s Kids Motivated to Succeed, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing America's youth with educational, athletic and entrepreneurial opportunities. The mission of Juli’s Kids is to enrich the quality of life and promote the optimum social development of today's abused, abandoned and neglected children throughout the United States whose futures have been directly impacted by circumstances which have placed them within the foster care system.  She has developed foster care programs,  and provides provisions for endangered youth and serves to promote their optimum social development.  Juli’s Kids focuses on youths in child protective services, transitional homes and child abuse shelters. Since its inception in 1999, with Jordan at the helm, the organization has donated tens of thousands of dollars to charities on a national level whose mission aligns with the essence of Juli’s Kids motto:  "Fostering Hope, Fostering Care, Inspiring Infinite Possibilities."

Through the generosity of corporate sponsors and charitable private donors, thousands of kids in foster care waiting to be adopted into loving homes, have received the opportunity to attend national sports and entertainment events where they have been able to not only meet several popular celebrities and obtain memorable photographs and autographs, but also participate in various events as water boys/girls, youth caddies, and youth ambassadors. Jordan has been instrumental in raising money and assisting in raising awareness of the child abuse epidemic in America.

Jordan's civic and professional affiliations include her service as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the National Council of Negro Women, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Black Entertainment Sports Lawyers Association, the National Association of Female Executives, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Legal Ministry of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, and she sits on the Board of Directors for Hearts and Homes for Youth, a Maryland based 501 C(3) non-profit that aims to help at-risk children and runaways become independent, constructive, and valued adults.

A personal turning point for Jordan came when she was honored as one of four HONORS recipients by Hearts & Homes for Youth of Silver Spring, Maryland, for her work as President & CEO of Jam Sports Productions and her dedication to foster care and other youth charities.  She was awarded alongside John Walsh (Host of America’s Most Wanted and Founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children), Cal Ripken, Sr. (Legendary baseball player and manager.  His award was accepted by Cal Ripken, Jr.), and the Honorable George B. Rasin (Founder and architect of the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services/Maryland Juvenile Justice System and former State Senator and Delegate of the Maryland General Assembly). 

“It really is quite a humbling honor to even be included with this list of honorees,” remarked Jordan.  “Our organization has worked very diligently to champion the rights and enrich the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected children. I admire the work of the other honorees and I hope to be able to be as successful as their legacy of devoting their lives to the betterment of children.”

Considered an expert in her field, Jordan is often invited to speak and offer advice to students and aspiring entrepreneurs about her career in law, sports and entertainment.

This year, Jam Sports Productions celebrated its 18th year corporate anniversary and its 17 year anniversary as the executive producers for the annual official celebrity basketball game of Super Bowl, Gridiron Celebrity Hoops- making her the first woman and the first African-American to reach this milestone.
